Understanding The Terminology:

System Built or Modular Homes are built to the State of Michigan Building Code.
This is the same building code that site built homes are built to.  These homes are
built on a 2" x 10" or a wood truss floor system. System Built Homes are financed,
appraised & sold like any site built home.  

Advantages of System Built Homes:

Homes are built inside.  They will not be subject to rain/snow during  construction
causing possible long term damage.  Think about that the next time you see a
partially finished home in a rain storm!  Projects are finished in less time, this can
reduce interest charges during construction & get you in your new home sooner.  
Price per sq. ft. is less.  This allows you to build a larger more feature rich home
than would otherwise be possible, or reduce your total investment. System Built
Homes are built to withstand the rigors of transportation & being set on your
foundation with a crane.  This requires more lumber, fasteners & adhesives  than
